Pricing

Straightforward website pricing.

Most agency websites make you fill in a form to find out whether you can afford them. That wastes your time and ours, so here are InceptiCode's actual numbers for Toronto and GTA businesses, in Canadian dollars.

Packages

Four ways we work

What each one starts at, what the starting package covers, and what pushes a project up the range.

E-Commerce Store

Shopify or WooCommerce, set up to actually sell — not just to look finished.

From C$3,990

Most projects: C$5,900–C$8,900+

What the starting package covers

  • Everything in the Business Website package
  • Store build on Shopify or WooCommerce, whichever suits the catalogue

  • Conversion-focused product pages
  • Payment setup, including Canadian payment methods
  • Shipping rules and rate configuration
  • Canadian tax configuration (GST/HST/PST by province)
  • Responsive storefront tested on phones first

  • Migration from an existing store, and whether URLs and history have to be preserved

Mobile Applications

iOS and Android apps, from a first release to an established product.

Scoped per project

What the starting package covers

  • Product definition and a scoped first release
  • UI/UX design for iOS and Android conventions
  • Native or cross-platform build, chosen for the product and not for fashion
  • Backend API and admin where the app needs one
  • App Store and Google Play submission, including store assets
  • Post-launch support and release management

What moves the price

  • One platform or both
  • Offline behaviour, payments, maps, push, background work
  • Whether a backend already exists or has to be built

Also priced

The other things people ask us for

Fixed prices, published for the same reason as everything above. Each links to what the number actually buys.

  • Website care plans

    From C$99 a month

Updates, backups, uptime monitoring, security patching and a stated number of hours of changes. Month to month, never required.

  • Google Ads management

    Build C$490 · from C$390/month

A flat monthly fee rather than a percentage of your ad spend, in an account created in your name.

  • Logo design & branding

    From C$490

Three original concepts, a complete file set, and the source files transferred to you.

  • Website copywriting

    From C$140 a page

Written from an interview with you and priced per page, because pricing per word rewards length.

How these numbers work

Every project is different. Starting prices show the minimum investment for a properly designed and developed project. After we understand your requirements, we give you a clear scope and a fixed price before development begins — and that is the price you pay.

What "from" actually means

C$2,490 buys a complete, properly built business website — not a stripped-back version we then upsell you out of. It covers the scope described in the package above. Most businesses land between C$2,490–C$4,990 because they need more pages, more functionality, or content written for them.

What is not included

Domain registration and hosting are paid by you, directly to the provider, in your name — typically a few hundred dollars a year. Shopify subscription and payment processing fees are the same. We do not resell them or add a margin, because a business should never lose access to its own website over an unpaid agency invoice.

Revisions

Two rounds of revisions at the design stage and one after build are included. Nobody genuinely offers a revision process without limits — the agencies that advertise one either build the cost in up front or quietly stop replying. We would rather be specific about what you get.

If the scope changes

Sometimes it should. If you want something added mid-project we will price it and you decide before we build it. You will never receive an invoice for work you did not agree to.

The variables

What moves a project up the range

These are the things we ask about on the first call, because they are what actually change the number.

Business Website

  • Number of pages
  • Custom functionality (booking, calculators, portals, member areas)
  • Third-party integrations (CRM, email platform, payment, dispatch software)
  • Whether you supply the content or we write it
  • Multilingual requirements
  • Migration from an existing site, and how much of it has to come with you

E-Commerce Store

  • Catalogue size and how product data arrives
  • Custom storefront sections and theme work beyond the base build
  • Subscriptions, bundles, wholesale pricing or B2B rules
  • Migration from an existing store, and whether URLs and history have to be preserved
  • ERP, inventory or accounting integrations
  • Custom app or checkout functionality — always quoted separately

Custom Software

  • How many distinct user roles and workflows the system carries
  • Data volume, reporting and compliance requirements
  • Number and complexity of external systems it has to talk to
  • Whether it replaces an existing system, and what has to be migrated

Mobile Applications

  • One platform or both
  • Offline behaviour, payments, maps, push, background work
  • Whether a backend already exists or has to be built
  • App Store and Google Play review requirements for your category

How it works

You know the price before design starts.

Step two is where the number gets fixed. Nothing is built before you have agreed it.

  1. Tell us about the business

A short call or a form. What you do, who buys from you, what you want the website to bring in. No technical questions.

  2. Strategy and scope

InceptiCode comes back with a page-by-page plan and a fixed price. You approve it before anything is designed or built.

  3. Design

The key pages are designed properly, with your content in them rather than a wireframe. Two rounds of revisions are built into the price.

  4. Development

The approved design gets built — responsive, fast, with forms and tracking wired up as part of the work.

  5. Review

A staging link goes to you, and you go through it properly. Content, links, forms, phone numbers. Anything wrong gets fixed before launch.

  6. Launch

InceptiCode handles DNS, hosting and the cutover, submits the sitemap to Google, and confirms tracking is recording. Then we stay reachable.

FAQ

Everything else people ask

How much does a website cost in Toronto?

Our business websites start at C$2,490, and most business projects land between C$2,490–C$4,990. Online stores start at C$3,990, with larger stores typically C$5,900–C$8,900+. What moves a project up the range is page count, custom functionality, integrations, whether we write the content, and multilingual requirements. You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts.

How long does a website take?

A straightforward business website is usually three to five weeks from approved scope to launch. Larger sites and online stores typically run six to ten weeks. The single biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come back from your side — we will tell you the honest timeline for your project before you commit, not an optimistic one.

Do I own the website?

Yes. You own the domain, the hosting account, the website files, the design and the content. Everything is registered in your name, and you get the logins. If you ever decide to work with someone else, you take it all with you and we will help with the handover.

Can you redesign my current website?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. The important part of a redesign is not the look — it is keeping the search rankings and traffic you already have. We map your existing URLs, set up proper 301 redirects, keep the pages that are earning visits, and improve the structure around them.

Is hosting included?

Hosting is not included in the build price, and we deliberately keep it in your name rather than reselling it to you. We will recommend a suitable host for your site, set it up, and hand you the account. Typical hosting for a business site runs a few hundred dollars a year, paid directly to the host.

Do you provide SEO?

Every site we build includes the technical foundations: page titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, structured data, a sitemap submitted to Google Search Console, fast loading, and a sensible page structure. That is what makes a site eligible to rank. Ongoing SEO — content, links, local listings — is separate work, and we will tell you honestly whether you need it or whether InceptiCode should point you at Google Ads instead.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. We build on platforms you can edit without a developer, and we show you how — text, images, prices, new pages, blog posts. For anything structural you can come back to us, but day-to-day changes should not require an invoice.

Do you write the content?

We can. Many clients supply their own text and we edit and structure it, which keeps the cost down. If you would rather we write it, we will interview you, write the pages, and put it in front of you for approval. That is one of the things that moves a project up the price range.

Can you migrate my old site?

Yes. We move content, images, product data and URLs, and we redirect the old addresses to the new ones so nothing that Google already knows about turns into a broken link. For online stores we migrate products, collections, customers and order history where the platforms allow it.

What happens after launch?

Launch is not the last conversation. We stay available for the settling-in period, confirm your analytics and Search Console are reporting correctly, and fix anything that turns out to be wrong with the build. Ongoing maintenance and support are available separately if you want them — they are not compulsory.

Do you only work with Toronto companies?

Toronto and the GTA are our focus, because local work benefits from being able to meet, and because we understand this market. We do take work from elsewhere in Canada — one of the projects in our portfolio is in Calgary. If you are outside the GTA, everything still works, we just do it over calls and email.

What platforms do you use?

For business websites, whatever suits the job — usually WordPress when you want to edit content yourself, or a fast static build when you do not. For online stores, Shopify or WooCommerce. We pick the platform to fit your business, not to fit a subscription we resell. You will always be told what you are getting and why.

Shopify or WooCommerce — which is right for me?

Shopify if you want the platform to handle hosting, security, payments and PCI compliance for a monthly fee, and you are happy working within its structure. WooCommerce if you already run WordPress, need unusual product or pricing rules, or want to avoid platform transaction fees. We will make a recommendation based on your catalogue and how you operate — and tell you the real trade-offs, including the ongoing costs.

Can you migrate my existing store?

Yes. We migrate products, variants, collections, customers, and order history where the platforms allow it. The part that matters most is URL mapping — an unmapped store migration can lose you every product page Google has indexed. We map and redirect them as part of the work.

How is Canadian tax handled?

GST, HST and PST are configured by province, so a customer in Ontario is charged 13% HST and a customer in Alberta is charged 5% GST without you doing anything manually. If you sell outside Canada we will set up the rules for that too.

What about payments and shipping?

We set up the payment methods Canadian shoppers expect — cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus Shop Pay or PayPal if you want them — and configure shipping rates for the way you actually ship: flat rate, by weight, by region, free over a threshold, or local pickup.

Why does an e-commerce project cost more than a website?

A store is a website plus a catalogue, plus payments, plus tax, plus shipping, plus the operational side of getting orders out. That is why stores start at C$3,990 rather than C$2,490, and why a substantial store is typically C$5,900–C$8,900+. Catalogue size, custom functionality, subscriptions or B2B pricing, and integrations with inventory or accounting systems are what move the number.
